Questions
Walima Photographer in Karachi — FAQ
- Walima photography kitne ki hoti hai in Karachi? (How much does walima photography cost?)
- Basil Studios wedding photography packages run from PKR 65,000 (Essential — per event) to PKR 385,000 (Heirloom). A walima alone fits Essential at PKR 65,000 — one photographer, up to 6 hours, 250+ edited frames in 4 weeks. Booked with the baraat, Signature at PKR 165,000 covers both events with two photographers, drone and a same-day highlight reel. Travel from our Lahore studio to Karachi is quoted transparently up front.
- How is walima photography different from the baraat?
- The walima is calmer — the rukhsati is behind the couple, so they are relaxed and there is time for proper portraits away from the stage. Because the groom's family hosts, the guest list and family groups lean to that side, so share the list of groups you want in the pre-shoot brief. We also photograph the décor before guests arrive.
- When is the best light for walima portraits in Karachi?
- Walimas are usually evening receptions. At outdoor lawns and farmhouses, the half hour around sunset and blue hour is the best time for couple portraits and, on Signature and Heirloom, drone aerials of a lit garden. Indoors at a hall, portraits are lit off the stage and décor, so plan a short portrait slot before dinner is served.
- Can we book only the walima?
- Yes. Essential covers a single event, so a standalone walima can be booked on its own — at banquet halls and lawns across DHA, Clifton, Gulshan and Bahria Town, or at home. Enquiries get a same-day reply on WhatsApp.
- Do you make a walima video too?
- Yes. Wedding videography Essential (PKR 55,000) is a 60–90 second highlight reel of one event, delivered in 2 weeks; the Heirloom photography package already includes a videographer across every event.
