Questions
Nikah Photographer in Lahore — FAQ
- How much does a nikah photographer cost in Lahore?
- A nikah on its own is a single event: Basil Studios covers it on Essential at PKR 65,000 — one photographer for up to 6 hours and 250+ edited frames delivered in 4 weeks. Pair the nikah with your baraat or walima on Signature (PKR 165,000) for two photographers across two events. Wedding photography packages run from PKR 65,000 (Essential — per event) to PKR 385,000 (Heirloom).
- What should a nikah photographer capture?
- The ijab-o-qubool from both sides — in many Pakistani nikahs the bride's consent is taken in a separate room with the maulvi, vakeel and witnesses — the nikahnama signatures, the khutba and dua, the dates or chhuharay handed out, the first moment the couple sit together, and the embraces with parents afterwards. If the bride's consent is taken in a separate room, add a second photographer (Signature) so both sides are covered at once.
- Can you photograph a nikah in a mosque in Lahore?
- Yes, wherever the mosque allows photography. Some mosques restrict cameras in the prayer hall or ask for no flash, so check their rules before the day and share them in the pre-shoot brief — we plan the coverage around them.
- What time of day is best for nikah photos?
- Daytime nikahs — after Jumma prayers or in the afternoon — give soft natural light that suits close portraits and the signing. Evening nikahs at a hall run under stage and décor lights, so tell us the time and venue and we plan the light for the ceremony and the couple portraits after it.
- Do you record the nikah audio for a wedding film?
- Yes. Wedding videography Signature (PKR 145,000) includes synced audio from the nikah and speeches, so the khutba and "qubool hai" are clear in your film. Heirloom adds a dedicated audio engineer and delivers the raw audio masters separately.
